1 INUKCHUK CHUCK Simply put, he's had many chances here and hasn't been able to get the job done. Will the rail make that big of a difference tonight? He had the rail at Freehold and still couldn't convert. Needs to find speed.
2 MULTITASKR HANOVER A little bit overbet last time and it wasn't his finest race. Got jammed up at the back early and never really fired after that. This post should supply an easier trip, but must find that one big kick again.
3 PARTY ON THE RIVER Went back to one of his "good" performances last week. It's impossible to try and handicap him, because you never know what you're going to get. Since inside pair are closers, he's very likely to leave strongly.
4 HES A CASTOFF Not really sure what was going on in the lane last week, as horse drifted way inside the pylons. Okay. It's too bad because it cost him a nice check. Different post here, and he might need to try some speed. Maybe.
5 TOSS CARTWRIGHT Back from a miscue at Yonkers, and that's never good. Pete K wasn't overly happy with his effort here before that, despite fair trip. It's all about the speed here, and Toss hasn't been fast enough yet. Tough call. Trainer: The "old man" needs to stay close and pick them up on the end. Just might be a little tough for him. Fits nw2500.
6 TECH TITAN Went an absolutely monstrous trip two weeks ago. It was so good, that horse will likely end up being the favorite here. Sarah did try to leave a little, and she will again, with Fiji just outside. Right now, this one's better.
7 FIJI Joe Lee put a fine steer on the Fiji two weeks ago, and stole away with easy. Now, owner Dave hops back in the sulky seat and he better be ready to produce some speed. ONLY shot is to get around #6 early into turn one. Must blast!

H Horse Comment
1 MASTER OF THE HILL Shows a scratch, missed time and too many breaks. Has the rail, but I still have to pass, thinking he's going to need this. IF he stays trotting.
2 ZEPHYR KRONOS Talented colt showed me something again last time. Uncorked a very nice rally in a super high-quality field. At this point, he seems a lot more reliable than #4 and will likely be a very short price. One to beat.
3 BIZET That wasn't a bad trip he went in just second start here. Definite improvement and Andy Mac got along with him nicely. He's not here tonight, so Lucas hops back aboard. Perfect spot here to do the same thing. Plots for nice trip and could be tough if the faves falter.
4 U NEED STONES The big question mark in the field, and that's a fair statement! Got beat square up in leg two of the sires stakes. Looked hot again in the final, and eventually, Yannick lost him. Take a LONG look at him on track first.
5 DAWSON SPRINGS Qualified nicely here. Hit the road for PASS and after a decent first try, made a break in the second. That's not good. He's another that we'll have to take a good, long look at on track. Drew tough post too!
6 VIA LATTEA IT The "White Horse" has rounded into form nicely for Team Svanstedt. Picked up valuable confidence and experience in that Pocono series. I'll forgive the break at Philly, since not every horse gets over that surface. Huge test tonight and a bad post to try and overcome.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 4-3-5-7
H Horse Comment
1 GERARD HANOVER Still looking like a work in progress for Camp Jonas. Hopples on for latest qualifier and he did stay on gait. So, that's at least one step in the right direction.
1A CLAIRE MICHELLE Homebred filly is still on the slow and steady path to the races. Her qualifier wasn't bad, but the regression to a break in pari-mutuel debut isn't good. Have to watch a few flat miles from her first. Dave aboard again.
2 CHURCH CHOIR Homebred gave it up twice on the lead over at Pocono, so I can't be overly confident about the mile track. He will need to find more stamina here to get that first win. Tries a new pilot who was hot last weekend!
3 WITH PRESENCE Went off at 1-5 despite post eight down at Philly and had a tough trip. Still, shows breaks now in two of last three starts. That's never good. Will offer better price here, and tries Andy tonight. He may help.
4 EUROBOND I got beat up pretty good with him two weeks ago, so I'm a little hesitant to go back to the well. I didn't see any reason for his break. I'll also note that Yannick was listed and stayed loyal to #7. Very, very tough call tonight.
5 MADE IT HAPPEN One of FIVE horses in here that lost their last as big favorites. This guy broke too! His qualifier here was pretty good too! But, with the hopples going on, it's not a good thing that he regressed into break. Be careful.
6 CASH CALF That wasn't a bad mile out of her in debut. Picked up a check after a slowish kind of start. A good experience, and no mistakes! Tonight's problem is the post. She'll have to step up huge to have a chance.
7 QUANTUM KEMP Perhaps the key to the race, since Yannick hops aboard. It sure looks like he "hung" a little down at Philly. Went off at 1-2 too! What will price be tonight? And, does he have any early speed? It's a bad post here.

1 CHEAP THRILLS Had every chance last week, given the usual aggressive drive from Timmy. Couldn't stave off the charge of #7. Okay. Same spot here, from good post, but with new driver. Maybe a different trip now?
2 LIMELIGHT Grinded her way into the race last week, setting things up for the closers. Didn't quit that badly, however. That's a good step in the right direction for this lass. Let's see if she can work out easier journey from inside post.
3 NORA'S TANDT Nora has some speed. And, after leaving well and getting shuffled, she had even pace late. I'm still wondering if she's a true mile track horse, but not bad so far. Only needs a bit more to get closer.
4 LOST A SOCK Retains longshot status, having been no threat in three tries thus far. Tough to like at moment.
5 DAENERYS HANOVER Looks like she's rounded into form nicely for her new stable. That's a pretty solid win last time, and they knew it! Well bet that day at Philly. I'd rate this field pretty similar to that one. No reason she can't repeat.
6 THREEDEE DELIGHT A Sent east a while back to Scotty D. Qualified okay, and then had a good, but needed start off the layoff. I fully expect her to step it up even more here. Will she show speed? I wish I knew. Trainer: Nice mare, and looks well spotted in there.
7 CLARA BEA Uncorked a very strong charge last week at overlay odds. BUT, if you didn't go to the wedding from post one, should you try now from much tougher post? That's a good question. I may lean against at lower odds.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 4-8-2-5
H Horse Comment
1 WINNING PRINCESS Seems to be used to facing much weaker foes. Not really sure I can hop into her corner for first local try in a while. Even from the rail, she looks a tad overmatched.
2 GOLD MEDAL SWAN Used a little bit early last week and kind of paid the price late. Chased that 1-5 winner and got lost in the process. Tonight, gelding is forced UP in class and this is no easy spot. Better save that speed for late.
3 URIEL Very interesting situation here. After battling all year in the amateurs, we see gelding into a "real race" tonight and look who's driving! Jimmy! Can he get horse to go faster? That IS the question. Can Uriel go 53 or 54?
4 GO BYEM Classy trotter here, and he likes to win! 22 for 86 lifetime. He's won here before too! Had a perfect "prep" start after slow qualifier. He'll be ready for this now, and Andy will have him in play from the get-go. One to beat.
5 SHADY MCCOY Shady really raced well last week, even on the big class hike. Guess what? It's an even bigger bump up now, but sharp horses are always dangerous. Perfect midpack post to give Eric A options. Can't be tossed out.
6 CELEBRITY EVENTSY I really don't know what to do here. Yes, she absolutely "needed" that race last week, but could she possibly need another? I think so! I'll go with that for tonight, and if she beats me, she beats me.
7 MONTALBANO BI The Bi finds his way back to Club Med after two more failures at Philly. Didn't exactly get "lucky" at the post draw here either. He's not my kind of play right now, but I'm sure he'll take action with Yannick. Good luck!
8 ZLATAN Had this horse drawn a better post, I'd be a lot more excited. I liked that try here last time, against a MUCH better bunch. He drops here, but may have to invent a little speed. It's possible. I won't toss him out either.

1 TERROR AT NIGHT Seems pretty reliable and pretty good so far this year! Finally gets a decent post, and she's got a betting partner that looks great. Impossible to leave this entry out of your bets. They both look good!
1A KAITLYN N What a difference a year makes! How good is she? After just one win last season, she's rip-roaring miles in 50 and change! Nice to see Artie Stafford coming up for the drive. Let's see how good she is on the mile.
2 BEYONCES ROCKN Outraced her odds by picking up a check last time. That surprised me. Still in too tough, though.
3 OK HEAVENLY Not really sure why she was flat here last week. Took all the money again, and did not deliver. Moves a few slots inside tonight and that may help. She'll still have to find that big kick again. Not sure it's coming.
4 FINA PATINA Also seems to be in a little steep at this level. I guess I'd be surprised if she jumped up, won here.
5 HYPNOTIC TALE New Jersey Sires Stakes champ cruised through that series. That was two weeks ago. Just to get her a race, she ends up in this class. It's a very tough spot. Dave stays loyal, but it's never easy to tackle older, faster foes.
6 DR J'S KISS Hard to believe she's got only one win so far this year. Every line on the program looks like a good one. With that being the "theme," I'll use her underneath in gimmicks, but probably not on top. Needs trip from off pace.
7 ROCKIN PRALINE The key to the race! After getting sick a while back, she bounced back huge last week! Just missed to a heavily-favored winner. It was super start! But, tonight from post eight, we're going to need speed. Andy sends! Trainer: My comment was on par last week, as she was very good. The bettors let her go off at 20-1. Is sharp this week, but you lose your value.
8 FUTURE HEADLINES Proved her first win of the year was no fluke, by coming right back and romping at Philly. Takes another huge hike up in class tonight. AND gets slammed with the worst post. Is she this good? I'm not so sure.

1 NURSE PIE Q One of four three-year-olds in here. After being buried in the series here earlier, she's come around nicely in PA for Camp Croghan. Gets rail, after a blitz leave from post eight at Philly. She should get a trip from pole.
2 THE SECOND STAR I really thought she had big chance last week, despite that outside draw. The Mann had her positioned well, but she just didn't have enough. Draws better, but if anything, this looks like even tougher spot.
3 SANDY SUE Worked her way right up to the Open at Tioga. That's good work! She's had a couple of trips here before, so she knows the track. I like the post, price and potential for hot pace. Want a live closer? This may be it.
4 APOTHIC Towed along behind the Candygirl up at Tioga, so that's not bad. I won't question her speed, as it seems she's come back a much stronger 3YO for Harder. Barn is on fire right now too! I can make a case for her tonight.
5 NEWSDAY She raced pretty well in her one try here. I still remember that. Outraced her odds. Since, she's tried stakes and added Lasix. Technically, this is a drop, but it's no easy spot. Demand fair value, if you fancy her chances.
6 PRINCESS HOLLY N Like Kaitlyn N, barn's other starter is having a much better year. Cruised down at home base, despite a month off sick! That's a pretty good effort. Now, she gets the test for class. Tries to dominate the youngsters!
7 MACH THE CUT Final piece of a wide open puzzle in here. With most of them coming from different spots, it's hard to handicap a race like this. Was super about a month ago, and then shows two breaks. What do we get tonight?

1 JOEYSCASH Took a LOT of money in this race last week and flattened out after launching a wide move. Was that a needed, acclimating mile? If so, maybe we can take another look here. Moves all the way inside. Speed now?
2 ORANGE BIGI Did a LOT better last week, simply by sitting in and saving ground. Maybe that is the key for Bigi. Drew well again, so plots for similar inside trip. If the pacesetters fall apart again, the 10YO might have a chance.
3 WHATNBLAZES Gets a little break at the post draw tonight, so that raises his profile. 12YO warhorse will offer a big price, and can hit the ticket at times when the trip goes smoothly. Can be used underneath, folks.
4 GONEINAPUFFOFSMOKE Has now had two starts to get legs under him. Also gets the needed post relief, so tonight is the night to take a shot with Mr. Smith! Not sure how overbet he will be, but I figure he's very live tonight.
5 MR PROTAB Had a rough go of it hanging on the rim last week. Didn't quit too badly. That did catch my eye. IF the journey is a little easier this time, I suspect he's got check chances again. Not out of this one at all.
6 MAJESTIC SUNSET With Stevie driving his own, we get a new pilot on this gelding. Yes, it's also a drop in class, and yes, he might get overbet too! Did win one here earlier, but is he sharp now? That IS the question. No low odds. Trainer: The story remains the same! When he behaves, he is a very capable athlete. He's training well. If he stays focused, he dominates this class.
7 KING CAST Had EVERY chance in the world last week, given a perfect trip and drive. Somehow got caught by the Beach. Gelding does have enough speed to overcome the post, so that gives him edge. Needs just a bit more to win.
8 CLIFTON BEACH Never thought I'd see the day when Beach would win one here! Yes, he did! Got a little lucky, given the perfect and patient drive from Andy. Moves to much tougher post tonight, and the value is probably gone.
9 GREAT EMANCIPATOR Not really sure why, but Jimmy chose this fella again. The bad post gave him no chance last time and I see the same thing coming here. Is he going to take a shot and leave? I wish I knew. Only way into it.
10 ROCKIN REDFORD Where's he going from post 10 off those breaks? Right to the back. Tries to stay trotting.

1 DANCE BLUE After a very good first start of the year here last month, she's been buried in those stakes races. Really tough trip trying to grind against Candygirl. You know that wasn't going to work. Has rail. Has some speed. Maybe. Trainer: Hasn't drawn great in the NYSS, and got a tough trip last time out. Should be fine in here and is training good.
2 LULU DE VIE Has yet to come close to winning, so that's a problem. She also squandered decent opportunity here last week. But, it was fastest she's ever paced, so let's not be too hard on her. Can she build on that? Maybe.
3 SUN SHINES BRIGHT Team Takter finally has this lass going in the right direction. Loved her qualifier where she needed little urging to fight off a classy trotter. It was good sprint home. Yannick's choice. The one to beat.
4 HURRIKANE EMPRESS Fresh out of the sires stakes, where she was dominated by her arch rival. They're both in the box tonight, trying to get a "maintenance start." Loses Yannick, however. Will have to go faster too! Tough call. Trainer: She's had a tough time finding her game. Now, driver change and bridle change. Next week, trainer change out to Tetrick in Indiana to get her ready for Kentucky Sires Stakes.
5 MAJOR MAID It's taken a while to get her going in the right direction. But, it appears she's improving. These still look a little too tough at the moment, but I will be watching for future consideration. Let's see if any better.
6 LONELY DAYS Shocked us when last seen here on May 18. That was explosive burst home, and a big upset. She's had two outside posts on small tracks since with probably no chance. Back to mile track. New driver too! Very usable.
7 ROSIEMUNN Of this bunch, she's on the outside looking in. Clearly looks like the longshot of these. I'll pass.
8 IDEAL LIFE Showed up sharp in her debut last week, given a solid drive by Stevie! Yes, the filly did bear out a bit, but you have to like the way she dug in gamely. That shows promise. Tonight's problem is obviously the post. Your call?
