1 BEBOP ON THE BLOCK Not sure what happened with the Bop last week, as he was pretty empty. So, new barn drops him right back down to the price of the claim. He gets the rail, and a big Welcome Back to Dave Miller!! Watch out!
2 MASTER CONRAD It took a little while, but hot barn figured this guy out and he’s good right now! Was just too far back last week. Gets a better post, and perhaps a nicer setup. I wouldn’t talk you off the Master during Masters week.
3 LATE NIGHT JOKE It would be hard to build a strong case for success here. He hasn’t been good here yet. Pass.
4 ROCKIN RAMBARAN Hot property at the claim box now. I hate to see that break last week, as that’s never good. Was doing pretty well before that. So, like #1, he could bounce back a little better tonight. But, we have to guess.
5 TITUS SEELSTER 0-12 so far this year. Only two wins last year. He’s the kind of horse I will let beat me, IF he can. Usually, they don’t. Can hit the ticket with the right kind of trip, though. Consider that.
6 FAR BETTER Another one to keep on the longshot list. Would need to step up with a much-improved effort. Maybe.
7 MAYFIELD DUKE Bouncing up and down the class ladder lately, but without a whole lot of success. Stuck outside.
8 BETTOR BB Also bouncing from barn to barn a lot lately. Will have to leave a little in this spot, just to get into the game, but that’s easy to do. Joe B gets a nice pickup here. Demand fair value, if you fancy from this slot. Trainer: Small horse with a big heart! I hope he can overcome a bad post, and respond to my equipment and shoeing changes.
9 NOTORIOUS Talk about the bad post blues! Barn’s got two in here and neither one got any love. He also can leave, but he also never wins. Don’t even think about putting him on top.

1 DA BOOGIE MAN Finds his way to the big track with a real mixed bag of efforts. Tony C likes to drive him in the club races, but this is a real race tonight. Wasn’t Scotty Z’s choice, but I expected that. Will have to stay trotting, folks!
2 SHINKANSEN Remember when this guy won here last year, and paid a very nice price? I do! And I’ll tell you what! It looks like he’s come back even better! That was a very strong qualifier. His speed will go even further this year.
3 TEQUILA N ROSES MIA for a little too long, so let’s put her on the longshot list for now. Needs a lot more.
4 COCKTAILS N DREAMS After a couple of clunkers, she did race better last week. That’s a good step back in the right direction, and the post relief will help immensely. IF good again, she might give #2 a little tussle. Has the ability.
5 BELIEVER Barn implied that he might need a race off the bench and that was correct. He did pass a few late, so that was good experience. Supposedly, he’s got some stakes ahead. Might be time to step up with more tonight. Trainer: We were very happy with his effort last week. Hoping he improves off that. It gives Dexter plenty of options.
6 LIGHT BLUE MOVERS Was sailing along on a well-rated lead last week until he broke turning for home. He wasn’t going to win, however, as big fave was looming. A trot hopple went on, but didn’t keep him on gait. Tough call.
7 VITANI AS Still not really sure what to make of this mare. She’s been just okay here so far, but not great. I kind of need to see more before I would consider betting again. This outer post won’t help the cause either.
8 MUSKINGUM Invades from the Meadows and into a new barn tonight. I do see some speed on view, so will take a good, long look at her out on the track. Will have to step up and go faster here. Not so sure about that.

H Horse Comment
1 FIJI Didn’t make much of an impact in his return to Club Med. But, he does get to drop tonight. There are a few other question marks in here, so maybe he can step up his game back to old levels? That would put him in play from rail.
2 ALEXANDER HANOVER The inside five horses are all dropping in class. So, one of them is likely to step up and win this. Wouldn’t shock me if it was this one. He did win here earlier this year, so keep that in mind. Plus, DD takes the call.
3 SORTIE I think everybody saw him come flying home last week in just first start for his new barn. So, don’t expect to get rich, especially on the class drop. NO excuses will be accepted from this better post. Joe B coming over to drive.
4 MARVELOUSTRIX She tends to be dangerous at this bottom level, but always needs the right kind of setup. Her last two wins came at 12-1 and 39-1, so demand a big price if you want to take the chance. Hoping for hot pace.
5 CHIEF JUSTICE Got locked in badly last time. Went to Yonkers for some reason and was flat moving first over. Quickly back to the big track, but will have a tough time beating #3 tonight. I’ll probably still box ‘em up!
6 ALL AMERICAN N I guess it’s time for me to hop off the bandwagon here. He really had no excuse last week, and we all know he can break, or take bad steps at any moment. A very tricky horse to drive. And an outer post tonight.
7 MOVEOUTOFMYWAY K That was the real “overland” journey last week, but a heady drive from Mr. Foget. He never really panicked, but kept horse on the bit and sustained a nice rally. Will try to do the same, but it will be harder now. Trainer: He’s not easy! Most importantly, we will focus on keeping him flat. IF he stays flat, he’s very competitive here.
8 MIAMI Been a long since since we saw this guy here. Found those higher class levels a bit too much up at the Spa. So, they take the long ship down and get stuck with the worst post. That’s probably not going to work out well.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 2-5-3-1
H Horse Comment
1 GAIUS CRASTINUS Marches up the NJ Turnpike for a rare big track try. His form down at The Hold is pretty mixed. Showed speed on occasion, so would love to see some here. Will still have to step it up a bit to be competitive.
2 MOON DOGGIE Took ALL the money upon arrival last week and gave it a very good try! I suspect the price will be short again, after that good effort. Will need an easier journey, but that’s definitely possible from post two.
3 GOTTA GO B B Took a very aggressive try in that perceived lower Trackmaster rating race and got tired. I just don’t know if he wants to set the pace like that. Let’s look for a little different kind of journey tonight. But, it is a step up.
4 NA NA NA BAATMAN Baatman just hasn’t been great of late, so let’s keep him on the longshot list for now.
5 SOSSY’S KING KONG Sossy gets some much-needed post relief after a nightmare trip last time. He was pretty good prior to that, so I’ll just throw that race out. Figures to offer decent value, in a pretty wide-open race. Your call?
6 OUR ART AND HEAVEN Not sure what happened in his first start for the new barn, but it wasn’t good. Plus, that was a few weeks ago. So, tells me he’s just not right. I will watch one, just to see if he bounces back any better.
7 I AM THE COWBOY Didn’t show a whole lot in first start off the claim. So, I don’t really know what to expect tonight. Especially from an outer post with limited early speed. The Captain will have to figure that out somehow.
8 NOBLES FINESSE Has now stopped on the lead twice, so don’t expect him to set the pace here. He may leave, but will be looking for a spot somewhere. I’m still in awe over that huge price win a while back. Must have been a fluke.
9 PIRATES ALLEY Bouncing back and forth between here and Freehold. New barn in play, after the claim. They get slammed with a rough post here. Will have to get very lucky to overcome this slot.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 3-6-1-8
H Horse Comment
1 TRICK CARD Well, he still hasn’t won yet, but he is getting a little closer. Definitely proving he can handle the mile track and he can’t get any lower in class. Expect Mark Mac to be more aggressive against this bunch. Your call?
2 ROYAL COURTIER Just doesn’t appear sharp to me right now. Will be a big longshot again, in need of lot more.
3 STAR OF TERROR Had a bit of late pace at a big price upon arrival here last week. Maybe he needed the race, after the scratch? Gets a better post in what might be a weaker field. I’ll take a shot and use him again. Lower price.
4 SIR JAKE’S Z TAM Back from Buffalo where he had one good start. The races here were nothing to write home about. I guess I’d be surprised if he jumped up and won this. But, I’ve seen stranger things in races like this.
5 R M BLACKHAWK Finds his way back to Club Med, after a few outside post, flat efforts at Freehold. It’s been a long time since he did well here, so I will likely have to prefer others for now. Until I see a good one.
6 S MCKEE Scotty Z had him in prime position again last week and he just didn’t have enough. Re-rallied a bit to earn the second spot. Still needs that little bit more to get over the hump and win one of these. But, it is possible.
7 GRANDPA DON Don missed his chance in a spot like this last week when he scratched. So, he now makes first start for new barn off the claim. It is an outer post and he usually shows no early speed. Will need a big one to get close.
8 STELLA’S PHELLA The Phella isn’t getting much love from the post gods lately and it always hurts. Will hope to save some sort of ground from the back and can pick off tired ones late. Hopefully, for a check.
9 BRIGHTSIDE KELVIN They opted to try this guy down at Philly for a start and that didn’t go well. Prior qualifier here was not good. I have no reason to expect a total turnaround, but that’s what he needs.
10 STIRLING ENSIGN Moves from pole to post 10 and sometimes, that’s all you need to say. Pass from out here.
6 Sixth Race Entries

1 A BETTER GAME The trio of 3YO’s get the inside posts here. It took a while to get this lass going, but she should benefit from the experience of that debut up north. Dave Miller back driving for Blake Mac! That’s a good thing! Trainer: Seems to be a fast filly. But, needs to be taken care of the first eighth. After that, we’re fine. Fits this class.
2 ALWAYS B FIRST Comes out of that very strong race last week, and she wasn’t bad. Finished okay, but as no real threat. I suspect she will also benefit from that, and have a little more in the tank tonight. YG keeps the call.
3 OURLITTLEMIRACLE I’ll guess that she was just a wee bit short in her comebacker here last week. A Mac put her in a great spot too! After that 25.4 kicker in the qualifier, she will get better as we go along. Takes more action here.
4 STEPHANIE DEO Did the “dirty work” grinding after that well-rated leader last week and she wasn’t bad! She had an awesome effort here last year. I think she will come back strong this season too! In a very wide-open race.
5 SOUND IDEA It’s certainly been a great year so far for her connections. Yes, that’s $50K in the bank after those walkover Maturity wins. Not bad! So, we get to the real test now and this is no cakewalk! Must step it up even more.
6 SO DELIGHTFUL Took ALL the money last week. Crawled along at her own clip and gave it up without a lot of fight. That’s not good! Maybe she doesn’t want to set the pace? I’m not sure. But if you like, you should get better price.
7 KELLY’S CHAMP Somebody in here has to be the longshot and Kelly is it. I will pass on her from this post.
8 RUBY ON RAILS Looks like the potential wild card in here. Raced very well here earlier and then went to Canada for that tough series. Won a few legs too! But, this post concerns me, as she is a closer. May have too far to come.
7 Seventh Race Entries

1 KIWI IDEAL N Did a fairly good job of sitting in and saving ground last week. That earned him a check! 13YO warhorse will try to do the same thing and maybe hope to get a little closer late.
2 PREPPY ART Preppy is just so sharp right now! That was the perfect trip and drive from A Mac to go out a winner for his barn. Bob H claimed him to race in this series. Let’s see if he can put the same kind of steer on him.
3 ER ROCK MY WORLD Recent Freehold form doesn’t exactly have me excited about his chances here at Club Med.
4 DATELINE HANOVER That wasn’t a very good trip he endured last week, so don’t be too hard on him. This is a better post and situation to possibly show more speed. Will be big price, if you fancy him being okay tonight.
5 JERRYTONE For a while there, it looked like John C had stolen another one. Then the closers geared up to ruin that. Same situation here. Would love to see him fire right to the lead again. Maybe a trip after that? A major player again.
6 CASHNCAM Endured the tough trip last out, so don’t be too hard on him. That’s never good when you take a short price like that. Likely same thing coming here? At least hope you get better odds than that. Lasix is helping.
7 IDEAL TYSON A Another one that went the “overland route” last week, but still got a check. Unfortunately, tonight’s post isn’t that much better. Matt Z takes a turn in the sulky seat and will have to make it easier. That’s a tough call.
8 WATCHMENEIGHNEIGH Neigh Neigh had a pretty rough journey last time too! But, the excuses are beginning to pile up. I’m not in love with this post for him again. Suffering the bad post blues!
9 STATESMAN N Yogi is making some nice coin lately with his 14YO warhorse! Good for him! He even stepped him up to the $10K level down at The Hold and Austin put a perfect trip on him. This should be significantly tougher in pp9.
10 ROCKINWITHTHEBEST Benefited from the perfect trip and drive from Joe last week. For that, they get “assigned” post 10. As always, that makes things a whole lot tougher. Rockin still needs a trip to do damage. At what price?

1 TALL POPPY N Finally gets a little break from the post gods and it HAS to help! She definitely has a shot in this pretty wide-open race. I think we’re going to see a lot more speed, and she will be put in play. I want fair price, though!
2 VH PRINCESS BREA In a race with several live, class-droppers, it’s tough to take one on the hike up. Yes, she is good right now, but this will be no cakewalk. Simon might opt to be patient from this post. That might work out.
3 BE BEST What a nice trip Mark Mac put on this lass last week. Snapped a long skid too! You got 17-1 if you liked her that night, but the price might end up being bigger here. This will probably be too tough for her.
4 GOTTALOVEMYSHADOW Showed her versatility with that speed last week. And, it was the right move to try! She stays in for the optional claiming tag here, but no takers lately! TJ will have options tonight! Leave, or sit and stalk?
5 DELISHKA N Finds her way back to Club Med, over from Pocono, and it’s a great spot! Picks up Dave Miller, with Corey opting to stay with Delaware connections on #7. For wagering purposes, I prefer this mare. She’s got class edge.
6 SO NICE HANOVER That really wasn’t a bad try last week, even on the hike up in class. She showed that she can step with these, but they’re being very careful to keep her racing from off the pace. Needs exactly the right kind of setup.
7 SKATS OUTA THE BAG Unfamiliar connections take a trip up the NJ Turnpike from Delaware to race at M1. Mare seems somewhat consistent. I don’t know if this is the right level for her here, but I guess we’re going to find out.
8 ARNIE’S ANGEL I’ve been waiting for this class relief for her for a while now. She gets that, but NOT the post help she needs too! Another nice pickup for Troy B. But, he will have to get Arnie into the game! Masters week! Trainer: She’s ultra consistent. Leaves it out there on the track every week. The class drop should benefit her well.
9 MILADY DENVER A Had she drawn a better post, I could probably make more of a case. This spot looks too tough.
9 Ninth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 ARI ALLSTAR Doesn’t appear to me that he’s all that sharp right now. That’s probably why he’s in for the tag. Might need an additional drop before he finds the right spot. I want to watch one, even from the rail.
2 SUGARTOWN Fresh claim here. And he stays in for the same tag. He’s been okay in most races of late, so I probably wouldn’t talk you off. I like the post relief. Just needs the right kind of journey to pay some dividends.
3 LET’S FOAL AROUND Marches back up the Turnpike for another big track try. Overall, he hasn’t been that effective here, so I will keep him on the longshot list.
4 SO SO DE VIE A sick scratch, coming off a win, always worries me. I think we know that his best effort would be very competitive in here, but will we get his best? That’s a good question. We have to guess on the answer.
5 DULL ROAR I know he’s sharp right now! That was a good, dig-in win last week, off a nice drive from Georgie. Gets a new pilot tonight, with GB not coming. The midpack post is always perfect for options. Stays in same field. Lots to like.
6 PANTHEON HANOVER He’s now had a few here to get used to the track. Took a ton of betting action last time, but was just fair again. Not sure I’d want a short price on him again. Needs to step up the game a little first.
7 MY ALPHA ROCK N Had absolutely no excuse last week, on a night when speed was good. It was almost a direct contrast to his prior, coasting win. Yannick bails to #9. That’s not really a good sign.
8 MCNULTY’S Z TAM As previously stated, I’m off his bandwagon for the moment. Especially from a bad post.
9 DAVIDS COMING HOME This is probably the key to the race. Hoping to drop and pop here, and Yannick will have to leave a little with him. The horse can do it. Don’t be shocked if he gets very close at the end. Very usable.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 2-5-7-1
H Horse Comment
1 T J BLAST That was a dirty beat if you had him last week at 13-1! I feel for ya. But, you can see that he doesn’t win all that often anyway. The pole means Simon will be aggressive with him again. How far can he go? Pretty far.
2 INDEPENDENT ONE I really don’t know what to do with him tonight. After that mini-series win here, connections probably raised him too high. This is back to reality! And, rightfully so. Should be sitting in a very good spot tonight.
3 ROLLIN IN NEW YORK Hasn’t won yet this year, but new barn sees fit to raise the pricetag. Why? He’s a longshot in here, unless you know something I don’t.
4 JUSTIN CREDIBLE Justin is another one that just never wins. Sometimes, you really have to handicap like that. Moves back into the claimers here and will need a few things to go his way. Doesn’t always happen.
5 NORTHERN ROCK He’s the sharpest horse in the race right now. Raced great for his new barn and just ran into a raging Preppy. Don’t hold that against him. Did NOT get claimed, so the Dream gets another start out of him. Use!
6 ACTING OUT Also bouncing from barn to barn lately. Owns just one win, however. He’s drawn outside the main contenders here and that won’t help. Will need a trip and that’s no guarantee. Demand price if you fancy.
7 BATTLE STRONG Almost pulled off the huge upset last week, barely getting outmuscled. So, the cat’s out of the bag now and he won’t be 42-1. This is a rough switch in posts and he gets another new driver. Marcus gets a turn.
8 BANK SEA The Bank gets “assigned” the outside post here and it’s going to hurt. Because he entered for $15,500, that’s why he gets the post. Qualifier was okay, but he’s been off too long for my taste. I want to watch one.
11 Eleventh Race Entries

1 STENHOUSE HANOVER The Sten was Scotty Z’s choice tonight over #6. Picked up a check last time with a rally. I know one of these nights he’s going to get lucky and beat me. I’ll just have to turn the page. Maybe tonight.
2 GOLD MEDAL SWAN What a spot this is for the Swan! Went the “overland” trip from the bad post last week when dropped to this level and now it’s his turn to win. On paper, this looks like a two-horse race with the three. Box ‘em up?
3 WHAT CHAPTER Got stuck in a bit of a Meadowlands shuffle last time, but that field was probably stronger than this one, exception being the Swan. They both get good posts. They both have speed. Will be tough to beat them in here.
4 BIG NUDGE The Nudge hasn’t really proven himself here yet, but he finally gets a decent post to start from. Will he stay trotting? I wish I knew. He’s a longshot, until proven otherwise. Let’s see if we get a step in right direction here.
5 SHADY MCCOY Shady just seems to be having all kinds of problems lately. A work in progress for new barn.
6 CRAZY ABOUT PAT Pat comes off a sick scratch, so that’s an issue. His last couple of starts were nothing to write home about either. Barn brings him back to the big track and he will need a big one to have any chance. Tough call.
7 POSSESS THE STONE New barn in play here. Seems like Mr. Cano and Mr. Betts like to “swap” horses every once in a while. This guy’s got speed, so let’s expect Yannick to take a shot and send. No reason not to. Is he good enough?
8 ONE DIRECTION Dexter put a nice trip on him the one time here, but the stretch seemed a little too long. Gets a tough post here, on the drop. Will he be any stronger? I’m leaning towards no.
9 LIONHEAD Another one that really didn’t make a solid impact the one time here. Eric A won with him back on the half, and was listed on the entry sheet. He chose not to come drive. That’s not exactly a sign of confidence.
12 Twelfth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 PAR INTENDED The outer post and slowish start really gave him no chance last time. This should be different. Hoping for similar trip a la March 19. Will offer a kick if the journey is trouble-free. At a price too!
2 IDEAL SON Barn’s got a pair in here, and they both have big chance. I know the Son doesn’t win too often, but he’s a major player in here. Especially from another good post. He’ll sit, stalk and try to rally late. Could easily happen.
3 WESTERN REDHOT Every once in a while, the Orange Crush can pull a shocker! He did it last week with Redhot, just by being patient. He’s not here tonight, so that other Miller guy will take a turn. Won’t be 27-1 this week either.
4 BIG SWEEP OSBORNE The Sweep did exactly that to upset the applecart last week. He caught a very well-meant horse too! Can he do it again? I guess so. No Todd tonight, but patience will be key. He’s best with one big move.
5 RUFO Somebody in here has to be the longshot and this is it. A lot to prove back here on the big track. Not for me.
6 AMRCANBOOTSCOOTA A Don’t know much about this guy, since we haven’t seen him here. Barn did list Dexter, so that’s always a sign of positive intent. To me, this is a slight step up, so I will probably want to watch one first.
7 ROCKIN PANDA Just a hair flat come crunch time last week. Overall, he’s been a hard horse to gauge. He can leave the gate, if pilot wants, but then he has to finish too! Not so sure about that right now. Demand fair value if you like.
8 BETTOR NOTBITTER A Finally got the money in the right spot for Mark Mac last time. He just steered him to the top, and that was it. Was claimed, so they lost the horse. The step up from 7.5 to $10K seems immense lately. Lot to prove.

1 RAPUNZEL BLUE CHIP I know she never wins, but this is definitely prime opportunity to get one! Got absolutely tortured through brutal fractions, with first-time Lasix, but will be tighter now. I’ll take a shot she snaps the skid.
2 AFFLUENT SEELSTER Over from Yonkers without a lot of big track form. Her lines are a bit hard to gauge, but this kind of dropdown can always wake one up. Don’t be shocked if she jumps up and races well tonight.
3 CHUPPAH ON Another one shipping from the smaller oval. I want to watch one here first. A longshot.
4 SLICK ARTIST A The Captain put her in the right spot last week, but the mare failed to deliver the goods. How low will the price be again? She will have to be a LOT better than that to get the job done. I may swing against.
5 ISLAY N On the slow and steady path back to work. I don’t think she’s quite there yet. I will pass again.
6 MAGGNIFISPIN It’s just about impossible to get a read on her right now. Enters off a scratch and a dull effort down south. I do wonder why they’re bringing her to the big track? She will have to go a lot faster here.
7 THUNDRA She outraced her odds a bit last time to hit the board. Not bad! Moves back out a few slots to make the task even tougher. I’m not a fan of that. I don’t see a whole lot of pace in here. Will need some, to set up the rally.
8 TEAL HANOVER Here’s the speed, but she’s got questionable stamina right how. That’s the problem. Still a longshot.
9 LOTUS SEELSTER She doesn’t pack much speed, so that’s a problem when you land post nine. I’ll take a pass.
10 WESTERN STEPP Fresh face, all the way up from Florida. She found a nice spot too! Worked her way too high in class down there, so we welcome her to NJ with a class drop, but post 10. Wasn’t Dexter’s choice. Very mixed feelings.
