2-Johnny Chip – New acquisition for trainer Andrew Harris won his Gaitway qualifier with a sharp :26 first time Lasix, then parked first over in the comebacker, softer spot here
9-Scirocco Mistysaid – Brused & crushed these before the shutdown, seemed poised for a big one & broke in the slop, stuck farther outside, yet remains a threat
RACE 2
6-Somethinginthewind – Classy 11YO seems to be gathering some positive momentum on the comeback trail with a couple of minor shares in his last two & has a chance to show more
1-One Tough Nut – Sports a 1:52 mark here last season, raced better in his last two & actually hit the board in the slop last out & lands the rail again in a wide-open field
3-Somesurfsomewhere – Attempted to launch a wide late move & flattened out in his comeback on Lasix, draws better & can rebound in his second start off the bench
RACE 3
1-Calle Palema – Rallied for third in both sires stakes division, the latest with a solid :56 back half & continues his positive trend from the rail for Team Svanstedt
6-Caruso – Three of his qualifiers on view have been outstanding, once he gets away smootjly & avoids any miscues he could be tough to knock off
5-Goodashim – Cantab Hall showed improvement in his second baby race before an early miscue in his opener, brother to Father Patrick & Pastor Stephen has a chance to rebound
RACE 4
6-Credit Fraud – We know she likes the Big M, showing signs of regaining form in her last few, faces an easy group here & her tactical speed puts her in play
8-Tough Mac – Classy 11YO overcame a slow pace & tough trip to finish a solid second @ Harrah’s Philadelphia fresh off the bench, a major factor despite another challenging post
1-Levitation – Made the mile track transition & qualified okay chasing When Dovescry & now getting some class & post relief for his comebacker
RACE 5
4-Lady Chaos – Cantab Hall first foal from a sister to Mr Muscleman, nice qualifiers, :26.4 here on June 27, then won her PASS debut as the heavy favorite @ The Meadows
5-Darlene Hanover – Continued to progress with a crisp :27.3 finish in the slop in her debut, Chapter Seven filly first foal out of a sister to Donato Hanover with a bright future
3-Dutiful – Just missed in both qualifiers, used early from post nine & faded in her debut, an improved post here gives her chance for an effort similar to her second qualifier here
RACE 6
3-Beautiful Game – Stole a :58 half & barely outsprinted by a well-meant Altar last week, almost got there with a perfect trip in the first leg & looms large again from another inside post
1-Material Girl – Really stepped it up with a game first over grind to barely outgame a well-rated Chablis last week & lands the rail off that rousing maiden breaker
2-Chablis – Muscle second foal out of D’Orsay, 1:51.4 [$445,732] took charge, rated nicely & just missed by a nose to a gallant Material Girl, draws well again to turn the tables
RACE 7
3-Whitehaven Lass A – Australian import suddenly came to life in her second US start on Lasix & had to settle for a win deadheat with Stick That Lip Out, draws much better to follow up
7-Narcian Jewel – Shipped into an easier spot, pulled off a well-meant shocker, only to be take down for stretch interference last week, now plummets even further for The Mann
6-Stick That Lip Out – Came charging off cover & hit the line together with Whitehaven Lass A three weeks ago, returns to the mile track & reunited with Yannick Gingras
RACE 8
8-What Chapter – Has descended down the class ladder, grinded out a third from post eight when heavily backed last week & just missed from the same post against much better on July 3
3-Trixie Dust – Sports a 1:54.2 mark here this season, rebounded off breaks in consecutive starts with a flat fourth last week, now drops into a more likely spot
1-Friend Of Nature S – Got parked first over here two starts back, a solid second @ Yonkers last out, Swedish bred ramping up & now draws the rail at the bottom level
RACE 9
1-Muscle Diamond – Heading in the right direction when he came back with a solid third from post nine, slow starts have cost him in his last two & now moves inside to stalk the speed
6-Marion Marauder – Classy 2016 Trotting Triple Crown champion hasn’t seen the winners circle in awhile, yet did flash a :26.2 in his return to the Big M last week & drops a tad
7- JL Cruze – The King has come back in vintage form, yet hasn’t quite been able to payoff, beaten favorite fell victim to a revved up Forbidden Trade, tougher post, but still a threat
RACE 10
4-Iznogoud AM S – Couldn’t get to a well-rated Mon Amour in the slop, then forced to grind first over when that rival stole another one, now draws inside to stalk within closer striking range
5-Mon Amour – Took control, allowed to stroll along uncontested & went wire-to-wire in both legs, has a lot of confidence to build on, yet there will likely be more pressure for the big money
6-Heartbreak Hill – Lit up the board with a big wake up call, left alertly & tripped out to nail heavy favorite Spy Booth last week, part of a strong Marcus Melander trio
RACE 11
7-Refined – Improving 4YO just missed in her comeback here, scored a nice win at Harrah’s Philadelphia, then had no chance in the Miss Versatility, now gets some class relief & goes back to Gingras
10-Whose Blues – Lightly-raced Cantab Hall filly ships in fresh off a perfect trip upset in PASS @ Harrah’s Philadelphia & deserves a long look despite post ten
6-HL Revadon – Overmatched & no factor from post nine in the Hambo Maturity, nice qualifier chasing When Dovescry before that, more suitably spotted here & reunited with Dexter Dunn
RACE 12
2-Vainqueur R P NO – Norway bred has two nice qualifiers on Lasix here chasing When Dovescry, the latest with a competitive :55.2 back half, debuts here for the formidable Team Takter & draws inside several last out winners
6-Hashtagmadeyalook – Dropped a notch to bounce back with a rousing score last week & has been a new horse since switching to trainer Richard Johnson
3-Carrick – Ventured to Harrah’s Philadelphia off a narrow loss here, destroyed a weaker field there & took a new mark of 1:54.4, draws well brimming with confidence
RACE 13
7-Threedee Delight A – Just one for her last 51, but may have picked it up in her last two @ Yonkers & gets further class relief here in a complete toss up field
1-Rose Run Samantha – 0 for her last 38, yet finished an inspiring third in her comeback @ Harrah’s Philadelphia & in line for a smooth trip from the rail here
10-Vintage Babe – Shipped over to Yonkers & was a much-improved second, trying to parlay that at the bottom level here from post ten while one for her last 36
