RACE 1

3-Mac Anover – Gelding sports some solid 2018 numbers, including a 1:51.4 mark @ Hoosier Park, new pupil for Robert Lounsbury had an acclimating mile, now gets class & post relief

 

5-Rather Swell – Hot item at the claim box grinded gamely & held for a board spot as the beaten favorite, second try for his new barn was red-hot before that

 

8-Rockinwiththebest – Just missed a with a perfect second over trip from post ten last week, more action, pace & patient handling could payoff for this sharp horse-for-the-course

 

RACE 2

3-Lucky Weekend – Five for ten as a freshman, looked like a contender in the Kindergarten Final, but was coming off a sick scratch & got used hard, both qualifiers were solid

 

6-La Dolfina – Late-blooming gelding blow up the toteboard in his career debut here, then burned the chalk players @ Harrahs Philadelphia, big chance to atone & step up for a hot barn

 

4-Divine Spirit – 1:55.4 winner here at two plagued by some late-season behavior issues, qualified behind the classy Pinkman & just one trial hints of readiness

 

RACE 3

6-Flyhawk Charm – Okay, what do we do with this mare after the combo swooped in & swept up last week?  Competitive lines @ Saratoga on view & not much to beat here, all systems go!

 

4-Knightofvictory – Gelding has shown some positive progression with two straight on-the-board finishes, while forced wide from tough spots, just missed last week & draws better

 

1-TT Conway – Both acclimating efforts here have been on the fringe, yet decent, back on the rail to set up a an ideal stalking trip in a field begging to be beaten

 

RACE 4

5-Final Claim – Leads a powerhouse one-two punch in this one for Team Burke, cruised to a sparkling new mark in sophomore debut last week & likely has bigger fish to fry

 

2-Goes Down Smooth – Muscle Hill colt broke his maiden in style fresh off the bench for Team Burke, has had a couple of weeks off & looks to trip out behind his stablemate

 

3-HL Revadon – Solid runner up to Final Claim in his second start of the season, lands post three again & continues to improve for a barn doing good things

 

RACE 5

7-Sutton – Stole a :57.1 half & got the jump on Trolley two starts back, strong second last out, no Trolley this week, this true Preferred performer faces several pretenders in this match up

 

3-Rubber Duck – The Duck was on fire banging out two straight blowouts & clearly third best two weeks ago, draws inside again as a prime opportunist in top form

 

8-Melady’s Monet – 10YO Big M lover has won twice since the mid-February sick scratch, ships in fresh off a rousing nose tally @ Pocono & rates highly despite post eight

 

RACE 6

5-Double L Lindy – Flashed speed & finished a distant third in his second start off the bench, 1:52 performer here last season is tighter now & seems ideally situated for Team Orange Crush

 

7-Dawson Springs – 4YO starting to find his best stride for Nifty Norman, just missed with a sharp :27.3 rally last week & might be able to outkick these with the right set up

 

1-Possessed Fashion – 1:54 winner here this season loves this oval, ships back from Dover Downs into a cozy spot from the rail

 

RACE 7

5-Rockin Praline – 1:50.2 performer here in 2018 has an affinity for this track, controlled the front end with those back-to-back wins in February, needed last week’s race, down the road time 

 

7-Newsday – NYSS runner up last year looked like she could’ve given Oceania a tussle, but that was simply too much for her to handle last week, tighter now & this is more realistic

 

4-Stylish Beachwhere – 0 for 11 so far this season, yet has had excuses in her last two, now drops into a prime spot with no standouts

 

RACE 8

5-Respect Our Flag – Showed stark improvement in his second qualifier with an eye-catching :26.1, looks ready off the hop & can stalk the speed for red-hot Team Bongiorno

 

2-Twin B Watching – Beaten favorite launched a premature move to the top in his lively 3YO comeback, draws inside as part of a formidable Team Burke quartet

 

9-Actor Hanover – This Team Burke gelding just missed in his sophomore debut, closing into a :55.2 back half, rates a long look despite his winless record & post nine 

 

RACE 9

4-Traffic Jam – Picked up minor spoils closing into a :56 back half despite a terrible trip in her much-needed first start here for her new barn, now draws better to follow up

 

7-Love Live Laugh – Classy 9YO ships in for a Saratoga-based outfit that made a smashing debut here last weekend, fresh off an easy wire-to-wire in NY & lands in a friendly field here

 

6-Partyon Partygirl – Overmatched in the Petticoat Series & just one for 11 this season, hits rock bottom here to possibly spark her form for a potent combo

 

RACE 10

9-Hockey Hanover – Team Burke trainee got loose on a breakaway & scored into an open net, so to speak, improving 4YO looms large off that career best despite the class hike & tougher post

 

3-Arrakis – Recaptured winning form & took advantage of class relief two starts back, then chased the runaway Hockey Hanover, draws inside that rival with big-time trip potential

 

4-Armagedon Seelster – Nosed out with a perfect trip in his 4YO debut @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, took his mark of 1:54.2 here in the slop just before the recent layoff, draws well to contend

 

RACE 11

5-One Corona To Go – Lived up to the heavy tote action with an impressive score in his 3YO debut, pacing a back half in a crisp :54.3, there’s certainly more in this one’s tank

 

1-Rollwithpapajoe – Son of Roll With Joe showed promise & talent in a limited 2YO campaign, NY Excelsior A winner paced a wicked :54.1 back half in his latest qualifier & lands the pole position

 

4-JK Captain Jack – Captaintreacherous first cropper steamrolled to a decisive win in his sophomore debut for Team Johansson & draws well with plenty of upside

 

RACE 12

3-Reclamation – Team Burke-tuned standout fresh off a sizzling 1:51.4 qualifier with a :26.4 & looks virtually impossible to go against in this spot

 

6-Well Said Maria – Bounced back with a lively wire-to-wire win @ Harrahs Philadelphia for Team Burke, took her mark of 1:52.1 in the slop three starts back, a serious threat to her stablemate

 

4-Parkin In Heaven – Was very competitive in the Petticoat Series @ Yonkers before a no-chance trip in that final, her lone win this season came right here 

 

RACE 13

2-Prince Of Minto – Really stepped up with more aggressive handling with a narrow loss in his second start here, lands post two again & expected to put forth another forwardly placed effort

 

9-Dark Pool – Rallied from a tough spot in :56.3 to just miss in his second start on Lasix, an excellent acclimating mile, tackles post nine again, but still deserves a long look

 

3-Justcallmeronald – Don’t know what happened to Ronald last time, but his solid second before that & better post tonight makes him one to watch in this blank finale
