6-Winwood Scout – Raced significantly better in his third start off the bench in the amateur series, gelding picks up Jim Marohn, Jr. & has a big chance to flaunt his class


7-Lauderdale – Chased the outstanding Ariana G in the comeback qualifier, classy 8YO returns in the softest spot imaginable, yet this gelding is never a slam dunk


5-Checkmate Time – Lightly-raced mare has always shown signs of talent, faded substantially in both starts on the comeback trail @ Pompano, possible rebound effort coming



5-Danish Durango – Changed barns to Nick Surick, got parked first over, grinded away & held for third in a game effort, owns plenty of back class


4-Global Revolution – Beaten favorite got off to a good start before hooking wheels with Shady Mccoy last week, draws well again & way down in class for the slick Joe Lee


2-Shady Mccoy – Solid rally for third two starts back, then roughed up three wide & hooked wheels with Global Revolution, draws further inside & back class in his corner



4-Zephyr Kronos – Italian-bred son of Ready Cash trotted a brisk :26.3 in his lone qualifier & draws well for Team Takter in a very light field 


6-Voss Volo – Brother to 1:52 performer Bill’s Man [$524,887] out of Oaks champion Silver Springs, just behind Zephyr Kronos in his second qualifier without trotting hopples


5-Velvatter – American Viking off to a vintage start this season, dam is a sister to Smedshammer’s Power To Charm, 1:53.1 [$664,880], looks ready off a solid qualifier



2-Sand Artist – Angled off the cones & got going well late to land in a blanket photo in an inspiring 3YO debut here, draws inside again to improve further


1-Butchie Beach – Somebeachsomewhere sister to Boston Red Rocks, 1:49.3 [$1,349,666] just missed by a nose in her lone energetic qualifier, $205,000 yearling fires from the pole


8-JK Lockerherup – Saved ground & was weaving in heavy traffic her Big M debut, tougher draw, yet logically benefits from that acclimating experience



6-Seven Karats – Bluegrass winner at two has added trotting hopples & won both qualifiers here for Team Toscano, the latest in a career best 1:54.3


9-U Need Stones – 2017 NJSS champion opened up his sophomore season with an aggressive new mark of 1:53.1, threat to repeat despite an even more challenging post 


5-Gemologist – Promising Ake Svanstedt-tuned colt beat U Need Stones in the qualifier with trot @ both ends from post nine & reunited with Jim Marohn. Jr.



2-Penpal – Was airborne in :26.3 in her comebacker, last week sat in & shook loose late with no chance, 1:49.2 performer here last season moves inside on the verge


7-Inverse Hanover – Was rated superbly & barely outsprinted by the pocket sitter in a crisp :26.3 in a sparkling Big M debut for Ed Hart, quickly adapted & figures to be the one to knock off again


6-Clear Idea – Knocking on the door with three seconds in the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series, forced wide in a consolation, strong in the win column last year, stalking threat



1-Double L Lindy – Finished well from tough posts in all three Shiaway St. Pat Series miles, the class & post relief may be enough to put him across in this intriguing match up


7-Chromeo – Gelding kicked off his 4YO season with a rousing score here, then reeled off two more on smaller tracks, returns fresh off a new mark of 1:55.1 for Smedshammer 


6-Triumphant’s Chip – Flashed plenty of late trot to hit the board under urging chasing standout mare Misslarose, closing threat drops a notch in top form



6-Pass Line Bluechip – Hammered down to 8-5 favorite & delivered a sizzling new mark of 1:51.1 in her eye-catching Big M debut last week, big chance to come right back


2-Majorsspecial Lady – Breeders Crown runner up at two leads a strong Team Burke 1-2 punch in this one, qualified with energy & lands the pole in a very competitive field


4-Speedo Miss – Undefeated five-for-five this season in NY, showing speed & guts, draws inside & may be up the task in this tight match up



5-Presto Blue Chip – Steamrolled first over to win her second of only four career starts, arrives brimming with confidence & stalks from an ideal midpack post


1-Step Beyond – Beaten favorite lacked the knockout punch, but was right there in her 3YO debut here, Burke trainee lands inside to progress further


2-Betterthanbrie – Lightly-raced filly uncorked a sharp 1:52.3 qualifier for Team Takter off a break in the previous trial, homebred draws inside a lively finale
