4-Ponyta Boy – Polished off a productive 2017 tackling Preferred foes here, just missed to Starznheaven at 39-1 with a perfect drive by Billy Dobson last week, might be on the verge

6-Starznheaven – Bounced back with a stronger stretch kick & outsprinted the pocket-sitter Ponyta Boy at more than 15-1, Burke trainee re-united with Ginrgas off that career best

1-Allblack Stride N – Beaten chalk was overbet off the sick scratch & struggled, now stalks from the rail with a chance to flaunt the impressive kick he displayed on 12-30

3-Southern Pursuit N – Making his fourth start off a sick scratch, flashed speed from post ten last out, draws better for another shot at this bottom level

1-Urban Renewal – Beaten favorite seemed poised for a big effort, closed well off cover in :27.3 to come up second best, back inside with higher class lines on view

7-Cruiserwillwin – Finished third to a standout Pepper Guy two starts back, then tried the impossible = a rally from last into a :55.2 back half, a lot of seconds last year, but down in class

4-Gold Medal Swan – Moves inside in top form & fresh off a narrow loss to a well-rated Long Story Short, sharp enough to handle the step up in class along with several others in here

7-Ashes Cash – Price Play last Friday was shuffled, pace compromised & stormed home a nose shy of the tripped out favorite Downundermatter, tougher post in a competitive match up, but has cycled forward

2-Montalbano Bi – Beat better with a game effort three starts back, then struggled in his last two, Team Harmon Big M lover has a chance to revive with some class relief

7-J K Fielding – Back-to-back wins @ The Meadows last Fall show potential, paced home in :26.2 in the qualifier, former Team Burke gelding changes barns via $42,000 Mixed Sale purchase

2-Rolling Sea – Late-blooming 3YO gelding has re-emerged going three-for-three well in hand @ Monticello, tough to gauge those miles, but this appears to be an ideal spot for him to continue

6-Stonedust – Shows a maiden-breaking perfect trip upset in the slop here on 12-23, freshened with a qualifier chasing a seasoned foe in Polak A, owns plenty of upside & chance to show it

4-Drunken Terror – Draws better off two solid acclimating miles, last week he stormed home from last to second & looks ready to deliver a knock out within closer range

3-Workandplayhard – Upset these from a similar post on 12-1 for his only win in 42 starts last year, gets class & post relief & missed three weeks prior to last week’s effort

6-Baggage Claim – Was stung early & ran into a 1:51.3 winner last week after going all the way from post nine, dips slightly here for Team Harmon

4-Southwind General – Beaten favorite rallied to a premature late lead & came up just half a length shy last week, Team Burke trainee draws well again for another shot at this reduced level

3-Master Of Puppets – 8YO gelding draws inside again on a form spree, shook loose late & just missed with a sharp :27.3 when bumped up to this level last week

6-Major Legacy – Drops further after another excuse line with interference & got parked, stone closer owns a big late kick & long overdue

6-Awesomeness – Mystery shipper a force in the Preferred ranks @ Woodbine, won eight of 22 last year, debuts here for Brett Pelling after a 35-day gap, tough call, yet may be worth a swing

5-Bettor’s Edge – Double millionaire got parked & still paced home in :26.4 in the comebacker after a long layoff, 9YO tighter now, loves the Big M & stalks the speed

7-Sweet Rock – Steady gelding ran into Christen Me N & Soto in his last two here, 12 seconds in

2017 is a concern, but he will make the winner earn it

2-Eveil Dun Champion – Draws inside fresh off a much-improved second start here, finishing a close second with a late surge, solid record last year & retains Marcus Miller

1-Sutton Seelster – Simply steamrolled first over to take a new mark of 1:52.2 from post eight, poised to step back up in class from the rail for a red-hot barn

3-Northern Assassin A – Perfect two-hole trip upsetter here on 12-14 was used too hard last week, draws better for another shot at this reduced price

3-Johnny Q – Upset this level with a career best 1:50 back on 12-16, finished well from far back in his last two, key is the improved draw which puts him within closer range

5-Sir Machalot – 8YO Team Harmon gelding took a mark of 1:51 here back on 12-16, on fringes in his last two against better @ Yonkers & now drops to face a vulnerable field

6-Hug The Wind N – Last Saturday all three Croghan downunder imports finished a solid second in their US debuts, tough to gauge this one, watch the board for clues

3-Brickman – Regaining form on the comeback trail since the Lame scratch last Fall, finished deceptively well from post ten last week, now gets an improved post in a tight match up

5-Yankee Heaven – Took a mark of 1:51.4 for this price @ Pocono back on 11-25, recent claim has now had a couple starts to acclimate to his new barn

10-Rockin Rambaran – Well supported, yet clearly needed last week’s mile after missing 37 days & changing barns, added Lasix recently, back class lurking, but post ten hinders

4-Intrigued Intended – Shuffled with pace & frustrated by stretch traffic last week, gets another chance at this reduced level & draws inside again for his fourth try off a sick scratch

5-Show Me Up – Grinded gamely through demanding fractions & outmuscled a few for the show last week, romped to back-to-back wins against these in December

8-Dr C’s Z Tam – Uncorked a wide rally off a fast pace to pull a decisive upset in his second start since the claim, stuck outside again & looks for a similar set up

6-Mr Euroman N – Like his downunder stablemates he raced well to finish a close second in his US debut for The Crocodile Man & moves forward off that beneficial experience

4-Express Stride N – Has teased us before with his wicked final quarters & burnt the cash, qualified with a :25.4, needed last week’s mile & draws better

5-Commentariat – That was some recovery last week, thundered home into a :54.2 back half to nail the favorite Headlights On in a much-needed debut here for Noel Daley

5-Sprinter N – Beaten chalk in this American debut finished strong in :26.3 chasing a well-rated Endeavor, chance to build on that a field of question marks

4-Art History – Attracts all kinds of attention with the barn change to Burke, class & post relief, addition of Gingras, recent form solid & history of success here

2-Brigadoon – Thought he was ready for an upset last week & just missed with pace at both ends from post seven, bumped back up & draws better to stalk the speed
